Hand-knotted in wool, this antique 9×11 art deco rug originates from China circa 1920-1930.<\/p>\n

In this particular rug, deep blue tones underscore a play of floral patterns and pictorials in bright, spring-like colors—most visible in the border, where admirers of the craft will note bird and butterfly depictions in particular. <\/p>\n

Keen eyes will further admire the more subdued floral patterns in the field—so subtle one almost mistakes this for an open field rug.
