DE MAJO was established in the immediate postwar period by Guido de Majo, who moved to the lagoon from his native Naples and founded the first furnace in Murano in 1947. Since 1947, therefore, he has been the interpreter and custodian of ancient Murano glassmaking techniques. The past and the future coexist in an original dimension where the preservation of timeless elegance meets the continuous search for new expressive languages and the skilled craftsmanship of the Master Glassmakers who shape and mold the creative flair of designers and planners.
