This is a semi-antique Tibetan rug woven during the second quarter of the 20th century circa 1940 and measures 108 x 56 CM in size. This piece is two mat rugs that are originally woven on the same loom and have the exact same design. The field is comprised of a single large-scale medallion surrounded by floral motifs within the corners set on a copper-red background color. the border is made using the famous Greek key design found in many Chinese and Tibetan textiles and set on the same copper red background color as the field. This piece has been preserved in excellent condition retaining all of its original full pile and is ready to be used and enjoyed for many years to come.
