Served as an architectural pole in a Burmese temple in its previous life, this impressively large pole was carved out of a single trunk of teak wood and is now displayed as an object d’art. Human, elephant, and horse figures were combined with architectural elements to compose a multi-tiered pattern to render the structures their functionality as well as a highly decorative appearance. The pole has a beautiful weathered surface with patina that is resulted from being outside. Impressive in height and fine details, a wonderful piece for any cultured interior.
