Vintage Design
On offer is a vintage pendant light designed by Luigi Massoni for the italian lighting manufacturer Guzzini. It was produced by Meblo in 1970s Yugoslavia. The 3 shades are square, almost cube / cuboid shaped, made out of white and red acrylic glass (thermoplastic) held together by narrow, metal screws. The shades are connected to and balanced by a warm brown wooden frame. The ceiling attachment is a wooden cube. Meblo was a renowned lighting manufacturer from Yugoslavia. They collaborated with many famous designers and producers and made their designs available to the Yugoslavian market. The influence of the space age period is clearly visible in the shapes and bold, vibrant colours of this spectacular chandelier. A lovely, very rare piece especially suitable for a larger room where it can really stand out!
