Large fascinating Southeast Asian Shan style cast bronze rain drum, frog drum, or drink table featuring a rich verdigris green patina on the finish. The drum has a tapered form with handles on each side for hanging. The round top has decorative stacked frogs and concentric circles centered by a sunburst or star motif. Typically from East Burma or Myanmar and made by the tribes of the Karen people. The body has a tribal style decoration on the sides with a handsome profile and unique finish. Very heavy and made on a large scale.
