Large and rare Shan style Southeast Asian patinated cast bronze rain drum or frog drum that could serve as a side or drink table. The bronze drum has a tapered form and is typically from east Burma or Myanmar and made by tribes of the Karen people. The drum has loop handles on the sides for hanging. The top and sides are decorated with concentric circles and the top is centered by a sunburst or star motif. The flat round top has four stacks of little frogs on top of each other. The table has a line of small elephants on one side. The drum is heavy and large with a rich patinated finish on the bronze.
