A wonderful early 20th century Kuba cloth panel with a fantastic all-over meandering motif woven in black and natural raffia. Kuba cloths are constructed of fine strips of raffia, knotted and cut, creating beautiful geometric patterns. Sometimes panels are stitched together to create long dance skirts worn by men during various ceremonies.
