Louis Kalff for Philips, ‘Z’ table lamp, metal, brass, the Netherlands, 1950s
Louis Kalff placed a black metal shade with small gaps and a circular gap on top where the light bulb reaches out on a brass stem. The golden stem has a diagonal part from which another stem with a round, black foot is adjusted. Due to that shape of the stem the lamp is nicknamed ‘Z’ lamp. At the side of the shade an engraved manufacturer’s label can be found.
