Mid-Century Modern Lithograph of Le Pont Marie, Paris

Framed, color lithographic reproduction of watercolor of Le Pont Marie, Paris, signed Herbelot. Franz Herbelot is the pseudonym of a Paris street artist active ca. 1940-60, about whom almost nothing is known. He or she sketched scenes, refined them with watercolor in the studio, and reproduced them as color lithographs. Not numbered; may be a reproduction of the artist’s lithograph. Completed in 1635 and named for its architect Christophe Marie, Le Pont Marie is one of the oldest bridges in Paris. Its nine stone arches connect the ile Saint-Louis to the north part of the city.

Custom framed with conservation materials in 1 1/8″ wide x 1 1/8″ deep textured bronze metallic frame. Sight 12 1/4″ high x 9 1/2″ wide. Overall 21″ high x 17 1/4″ wide x 1 1/8″
