This type of mask is used at Indonesian Topeng or Mask theater dances, where traditional stories of nobles, kings, princes and warriors are performed by masked actors, each mask representing a character and the actor dances to tell the story of such character through corporal expression.
The yellow masks usually represent noble warriors, with strong facial features, and the noses are thick and imposing. The eyes are elongated, and the mouths are small.
