Vintage Design
Glass and Chrome Table Lamp by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors, Sweden, 1960´s. The lamp is in great original condition, without any remarks, new wiring. The lamp measures 58.5 cm in height, the base diameter of the shade is 33 cm and the base of the foot is 18 cm. Carl Gustav Vilhelm Fagerlund was born in 1925 in Kalmar, Sweden, and died 2011 in Orrefors. Carl Fagerlund worked as a ligthting architect and designer at Orrefors Glasbruk between 1946-1980. He has designed and created numerous iconic and beautiful glass lamps, both table lamps and pendant lamps, as well as wall sconces, mainly for indoor use. He is most famous for his contribution to the interior lighting at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, General Motors HQ and Prince Eugen mansion Waldemarsudde among others. His design has been exhibited all over the world at the top deigner and interior exhibitions. In 1957 he was rewarded silver medal at Milan Triennal exhibition. EU standard.
