In this listing you will find 3 gorgeous and very sculptural antique Western African Stargazer chairs done in hand-carved wood. The chairs are made by Yoruba tribes, who inhabit the Western coast of African continent, between Nigeria and Ivory Coast. Chairs feature human figures engaged in rural tasks – fishing and harvest. Estimated to be made end of 19th century.
The chairs consist of two pieces – sit comes out and goes through the backrest, forming firm and stable chair.
