Carved and painted wood with an openwork tiered bucket form back. The top tier with female figures, the bottom row with horsemen holding small-scale figures on top of the horses’ heads. The shaped back with a dentated top border and two carved panels with birds. Panels with snakes frame the openwork back. The oval seat mounted on a quadruped. Incised details overall.
Measurements: height 45 1/2″, width 18″, depth 18″, seat height 16″, width 15″, depth 17″.
Condition: Well-worn surfaces especially the back, scrapes to the seat edges, the animals and female figures. Loss to one horseman arm.
