Julie Nangala Robertson, also known as Robinson, was born in 1973 in Yuendumu, Northern Territory, Australia. She is one of the five daughters of the prominent artist Dorothy Napangardi. Robertson began painting in the late 1990s alongside her mother, Dorothy, which explains the highly refined and sophisticated technique evident in her works, passed down from her mother. With strong family roots and undeniable artistic talent, she is poised to become an iconic figure in contemporary Aboriginal art in the near future. Her talent is internationally recognized, and her paintings are featured in numerous private and public collections, including the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, France.
