19th-20th Century Temple Gong, Mandalay, Burma
A wonderful spinning temple gong called “kyi-zi” made of cast bronze in the graceful shape of a Burmese temple.
It measures 11.75 by 8 by .5 inch, with the two tips flaring slightly thicker than the body. There is an incised inscription on the verso, which is possibly a dedication or a prayer. Nice patina.
