An incredible and rare 17th century (Ming Dynasty) Tibetan Thangka depicting the Medicine Buddha seated on a lotus throne with an alms bowl in one hand, and his other hand with outstretched fingers touching the ground, feeling the pulse of the Earth. The Buddha is surrounded by dozens of monks seated in prayer. The ground of the textile is made from hand-woven linen panels and covered with polychrome pigments. The age of this piece has been verified by one of the leading Asian Arts expert in the U.S. and we’ll be happy to provide documentation to the purchaser.
