Amazing squared mirror in thick Murano glass with its original mirror glass by Carlo Nason for Mazzega. Backlit with 4 lights, like 4 petals that form the frame around the squared mirror, a truly unique piece. Made in Italy in the 1970s. Carlo Nason is a renowned Italian glassblower and designer, based in Murano, considered to be the world’s epicentre for artisan glass. Nason was born into one of Murano’s oldest glass making families, affording him unique exposure to processes and methods from an early age. He soon grew a reputation for being the most ‘cutting edge’ glassmaker on the island. Driven to push glass to its boundaries, he builds on traditional methods to create futuristic forms.
